Vashu Thakur, M.D. is board certified to practice in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Critical Care and Hypertension.

Dr. Thakur is a graduate of Bombay University and Tulane University in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He was a professor of Clinical Medicine at Louisiana State University and Director of the nephrology fellowship at LSU with 20 years experience in chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. He also is a professional member of the American Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology and the American College of Physicians.
