Jared Shippee, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
Dr. Shippee took advantage of his passion for health and fitness and completed an undergraduate degree at the University Of Utah in Exercise and Sport Science. From there, he went on to received his medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland,OH. His residency was completed in South Dakota and Tucson, Arizona. While completing his residency he developed an affinity for Diabetic Foot & Wound Care and Sports Medicine. He has since become a Certified Diabetic Wound Care Specialist and Certified Running Coach. He is very excited to come to the Bear Lake Valley and help those in need.
Dr. David G. Edwards, M.D., Podiatry Patient Admit Form
Dr. Edwards received his training at the California College of Podiatric Medicine and the University of Southern California. He is the current president of the Utah Podiatric Medical Association. Edwards has always enjoyed the satisfaction of having his patients walk out of his office feeling better than when they first walked in. Edwards said about his work, “I don’t fix hips, knees or shoulders, but lots and lots of feet.”

Dr. Robert R. Jones, M.D., Ophthalmology
Dr. Jones did his undergraduate work at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in premedical studies. He attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He was one of six students from a class of 175 elected by the faculty to Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society in his junior year and was the recipient of the Lange Medical Publications Award for outstanding achievement. He completed an internship in internal medicine/emergency medicine at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City and is thus a fully qualified general practitioner of medicine. Dr. Jones then completed an extensive residency in surgery and diseases of the eye at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In his final year at Mayo, he served as chief resident of the department of ophthalmology. He is a board-certified diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is one of only a few physicians to be granted re-certification by the Board in 2003. This involved completion of more than 300 hours of continuing medical education as well as passing board re-certification examinations and office record reviews.
Dr. Keith J. Nelson, M.D., Orthopaedic Care Patient Admit Form
Dr. Nelson is a Cache Valley native who has always been involved with sports. His love for sports is what inspired his practice and specialty in sports medicine. He takes great pride in surgically repairing injured athletes and assisting them with getting back to competition. He followed his graduation from the University of Utah Medical School with orthopaedic training at the University of Southern California. Dr. Nelson then completed his fellowship training under E. Marlowe Goble, M.D. in sports medicine and knee disorders. Dr Nelson is an innovator who works as a consultant developing new arthroscopic tools to aid in surgery. He is one of the first surgeons in Utah to perform arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
