Reports To:                 Director of Home Health

Classification:             Occasional (<30 hrs/wk)

Experience:               1-2 years related experience

Desired Education:     High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies.
  • Formulating and updating statistics, graphs, scorecards, and other documentation.
  • Works with Director in scheduling and preparing for in-service and other meetings for the staff.
  • Writes, prepares, proofreads, and completes forms, letters, meeting minutes and agendas, memos, admit books and other related correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating employee files, including health requirements, CPR, sensitive and confidential records which are to be kept in a locked file.
  • Able to efficiently use and assist others with standard office devices such as copiers, fax machine and printers.
  • Distributes mail, meeting minutes, agendas and other documents and supplies as needed and available.
  • Filing paperwork and assists in keeping files current, organized and up-to-date.
  • Assists with storage and separation of materials that need to be kept because of Government requirements.
  • Assist with completing time sheets, reconciling charges and bills, and other records as needed.
  • Complete and document HIPAA compliance checks in the Home Health office area.
  • Answer and make phone calls, answer questions and take messages as needed.
  • Must be able to contribute to the culture and/or mission of the most caring hospital.

Requirements:

  • Must have a proven ability and a strong knowledge of HIPAA and of confidentiality requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must also become familiar with other computer programs as needed in the department.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with strong vocabulary knowledge.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office work principles and practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must contribute to the culture and/or vision of the most caring hospital.
